Heavymech are an ISO/Australian Standards Certified organisation with certifications to WorkCover SA Self Insurance, AS/NZS/ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
The organisation embarked on its certification program in April 2014 and reached full certification to all three Standards by the end of June 2014.
Our acknowledgement of customers’ needs and a desire to expand into different markets showed quite clearly that we needed to obtain these certifications in order to diversify and expand and secure our business in the future.

Heavymech have established resources within both our Adelaide & Whyalla Business Units to manage the changing a needs of our Customers in a systematic and safe manner as the Standards demand.

Quality and Safety Control
Quality and Safety management systems are operated throughout the Adelaide and Whyalla Machine Shops as well as on all of our Site Maintenance tasks, Job Traceability and Operator Gauge Control is exercised alongside stringent procedures to ensure customers’ requirements are maintained at each stage of the manufacturing process and comply with the specification as set by the standards and Customers.
Our company objectives are: Quality, On-Time Delivery, Continuous Improvement and Customer Satisfaction.
The achievement of these certifications has been a direct result of our workforce consultation processes and their willing input with a shared desire across our entire business to meet customers’ demands in a sustainable and safe manner.
